This bodice was made for an East Indian dinner party. A fragment of vintage embossed silk curtain barely provided enough fabric!
After hand washing in cold water, the fabric was carefully steam pressed. Iron-on interfacing gave the bodice shape and structure.
The lining is plum satin.
The collar and cuffs are ivory satin, pleated and trimmed with metalisized ribbon. The clasps are silver. A borrowed Sari completed the outfit.
